The Innovation Studio

The Innovation Studio is a hub of interdisciplinary research and development partnerships working with public and private sector partners in near to market and next generation areas that combine media with generic innovation technologies.

The Innovation Studio will be largely driven by project specific funding sourced from public and private sector sources and will function as a cutting edge, new-world academic model with emphasis on new and emerging market channels and in-product revenue opportunities.

An early example demonstrating the opportunities in this area is the collaboration recently announced with BBC Scotland.

Outputs will include pilots, prototypes, audience tests etc and possibly corporate spinouts. Some projects will move from the innovation studio to the project centre for prototyping.
